What is Form 1 Preparation?

The transition from primary school to secondary school involves more than new subjects such as Mathematics, English Language, Integrated Science and Spanish.

Students must adapt to a different style of learning, greater independence, and a broader academic curriculum.

The Form 1 Preparation Programme is designed to help students make that transition gradually and confidently.

During the April–June term, students are introduced to the structure and expectations they will encounter in secondary school.

Students also complete guided academic exercises designed to build early familiarity with secondary-level subjects.

Academic Foundations

Students begin working with the Form 1 syllabus, allowing them to become familiar, comfortable and confident with the pace and format of secondary-level learning.

Mathematics

Consolidate key mathematical principles from SEA, progressing to algebra, geometry, and problem-solving required for Form 1 mastery.

English A

“Strengthen comprehension, grammar, and composition skills while cultivating critical reading and analytical writing foundations for Form 1.”

Science

“Integrate biology, chemistry, and physics concepts to develop a understanding of scientific principles for secondary studies.”

Spanish
